Getting Here

Getting Here

Holidaying should be easy and here at Mt Buller Apartment rentals, we want to make your getaway to the slopes as simple as possible!

Arriving

It's mandatory for all vehicles to carry diamond pattern wheel chains. These can be rented in Mansfield, Merrijig, or Mirimbah. Ensure you have them in your vehicle when entering from Mirimbah onwards, as wheel chains are not available for hire once you're on the mountain.

Parking

During the declared snow season, all vehicles entering Mt Buller or Mt Stirling are required to pay a Resort Entry fee. This fee helps cover the costs of essential services such as road clearing and parking facilities.

For discounted rates, it's advisable to purchase your entry online here, up until midnight the night before your visit. There is seperate pricing for day visiting or an overnight visit. If you plan to park overnight, be sure to pre-book your parking space. The designated car parks are situated 1 to 4 kilometres below the Mt Buller Village. (Please note that vehicle access to the Mt Buller Village is not permitted from this point.)

Transfers

When it comes to transportation between the car parks and the village, your choice of transfer depends on whether you're visiting for the day or staying overnight.

Day Visitors - Accessing Mt. Buller Village

Car Park Shuttle (Complimentary): A free shuttle service runs continuously from 8 am to 6 pm daily for day visitors, provided you have no large luggage (a day pack plus skis/snowboard is permitted). These spacious buses swiftly transport passengers between the car parks and the Village, typically in under 15 minutes each way. On Saturdays between July 2 and August 27, shuttles will extend their service until 9 pm for Twilight Sessions.

Overnight Visitors - Accessing Accommodation in the Village

Ride Share Transfers: This service operates daily from 7 am to midnight, offering transportation for you and your belongings between overnight car parks and village accommodations, covering a distance of approximately 2-4 kilometers. Pricing is per passenger, with a maximum of 10 passengers per vehicle. You can book these transfers on the Mt Buller website here. You may be sharing the ride with multiple unrelated groups. Ride Share transfer drivers collaborate closely with parking staff. Passengers are allowed up to 2 large bags, 1 ski/snowboard bag or set of skis or snowboard, 1 set of ski or snowboard boots, and 1 small carry-on item, such as a day pack or handbag. Any excess luggage will incur a charge of $10 per piece.

Transfers outside standard operating hours (7am-midnight) incur a $100 premium and must be booked in advance during standard operating hours via the Mt Buller Transportation App or calling (03) 5777 6158.

Private Transfers: A select few private transportation companies have the authorisation to offer their services, allowing them to establish their own pricing and operational schedules. Similar to traditional taxi or ride-sharing services like Uber, private transfer operators allocate one booking per vehicle. Guests interested in this tailored transportation option can arrange their reservations by reaching out to these companies directly.

Should you opt for a private transfer service to travel directly to your accommodation from outside the resort, please be aware that entry fees of $22.70 per adult and $16.30 for children are applicable. Typically, these fees are integrated into the total fare charged by the service provider, but it's advisable to verify this with your chosen service provider for clarity.
