Getting Here:

Mt Buller is an easy and scenic three-hour drive from Melbourne, and there are a variety of options for getting here by coach, hire car, airport transfer.

MMBL operate an exclusive Snow Limo Private Charter service. This service is very popular with local and overseas guests wanting to travel with their own group in privacy and comfort. Transfers between Melbourne City, Tullamarine and other airports is available. The service takes you direct to your lodge door on Mt. Buller, although in some cases with larger groups you may need to transfer into a 4WD vehicle from Mt. Buller Village to your Mt Buller Apartment Rental Chalet.

Snow Driving and Wheel Chains:

If you're driving to Mt Buller and staying overnight, you will need to carry wheel chains by law. If you're visiting for the day, you may or may not need to carry chains depending on snow and road conditions. The daily wheel chain declaration is made each afternoon and is communicated via a number of channels. If you are required to fit the wheel chains you will be stopped and directed to do so by a parking attendant. Driving in snowy and icy conditions can be very different to regular driving and therefore you need to adjust your driving to stay safe.

Resort Entry Fees and AND Carparking:

You'll know you're nearly at Mt Buller when you reach the Resort entry gates at Mirimbah, at the base of the mountain. Here you'll need to pay the Resort entry fee, which is a levy set by the government that contributes to maintaining essential services within the Resort. These services include environmental management, snow clearing, water treatment, garbage collection, recycling and more.

At the Resort entry gates you can also pre-pay for your over-snow taxi fare if you are staying overnight. You'll need to pay for a taxi to transport you from the car parks (which are located 1.5km - 3km below the Mt Buller Village) to your accommodation. If you're just coming for the day and have no luggage, you can jump on a FREE Village shuttle buses to whisk you up to the Village in a couple of minutes. Getting Around The Village:

Once you're up in the Village, it's easy to get around. Everything is within walking distance, and there are free intra-Village shuttle buses that do regular loops around the Village on three colour-coded routes. http://cdn.mtbullercdn.com.au/assets/maps/mtbuller_village_map_2017_a3_web.pdf.

Facilities:

ATM - There are 2 ATMs within the Mt Buller Village. Located in Village Square Plaza Plaza, in the Village Square and on level 6 of Alpine Central.

Chapel - A multi-denominational Chapel, serving the needs of the Mt Buller Community. The Chapel is also available year round for weddings. 

Cinema - Available for private screenings and conferences. For enquiries contact Resort Management on 03 577 6077.

Museum - The National Alpine Museum provides a fascinating insight into the history of Mt Buller.

Post Office - The Mt Buller Post Office is located within Alpine Central. It is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am to 4:00pm on weekends & public holidays. Closed on Christmas Day only.

Supermarket - Located in the heart of the Village, Foodworks Mt Buller is a licensed supermarket open seven days a week.
