Arriving By Car - Where Do I Park?

You'll know you're nearly at Mt Buller when you reach the Resort entry gates at Mirimbah, at the base of the mountain. Here you'll need to pay the Resort entry fee (if you have not already done prior), which is a levy set by the government that contributes to maintaining essential services within the Resort. These services include environmental management, snow clearing, water treatment, garbage collection, recycling and more. Once you go through the gate you will travel for another 20-30 minutes then you will be directed by a parking attendant where to park. A 4wd taxi (Ride Share) will be present to pick you up and transport you to your accommodation.
If you're driving to Mt Buller and staying overnight, you will need to carry wheel chains by law. If you're visiting for the day, you may or may not need to carry chains depending on snow and road conditions. If you are required to fit the wheel chains you will be stopped and directed to do so by a parking attendant. Driving in snowy and icy conditions can be very different to regular driving and therefore you need to adjust your driving to stay safe.

How Much Is The Resort Entry and the Ride Share?

Please note the Ride Share service only includes a certain amount of luggage so it is a good idea to pack smart! There is a supermarket in the village with all essential available, so there is no need to pack a lot of food items.

You will save up to 20% if you pre purchase entry, parking and ride share via the Mt Buller website.

Why Can't We Park At the Property In The Village?

Unlike some other Australian resorts, Mt Buller is very compact, which is great for getting around by foot, and everything very accessible but it means there is very limited car parking available. Mt Buller residents, operators and lodge owners have to apply and pay for a seasonal permit to enable them to park in the village. These are difficult to obtain and are not transferable.

Can We Get A Late Check Out/Early Check In? Can We Arrange Luggage Storage?

You can always request an early or late check out, however it cannot be guaranteed, especially on busy changeover days. We will not know if it is possible until a couple of days before your arrival. If the request can indeed be met there will be an extra charge. Unfortunately luggage storage is limited and due to OH&S issues it cannot be stored in the apartment while the cleaners are preparing the property for your check-in.
If you plan to ski the day of your arrival, we recommend that you leave the luggage in the car. Take the free day trip village shuttle up to the village and at the end of the day return to the car and retrieve the luggage, for check in. This ensures only one taxi trip. The same goes for day of departure, after you check out, take the taxi down to the car, then jump on the free shuttle back up to the village, ski for the day and free shuttle back down at the end of the day.

Guests who book direct with us will recieve priority for requests of early/late check in/out or if luggage storage is required.

How Do We Arrange Check In?

We will contact you a week prior to your arrival to confirm your expected arrival time.
Most arrivals occur around the 3.30pm check in timeframe, we ask that you call us as you are getting in the taxi at the carpark so we can expect you and will be at the property ready to check you in. In the event of a late after hours check in we will arrange a key safe collection.

Is Linen Supplied In The Apartment?

Yes, all linen including towels and t-towels are provided.

Will There Be Snow When I Want To Come Up To Mt Buller?

The best months to visit Mt Buller are July and August. However there have been some seasons that have started early and ended late with fabulous conditions in June and September, which is a bonus because it is cheaper at this time. We participate in the Ski Guarantee which ensures a refund on your pre-purchased accommodation and lift tickets if there is insufficient snow. (please visit our Terms and Conditions for further information)
